While on our HCG Protocol, fat is being pulled from the body’s cells, where it is tucked away in the fatty tissue. When these cells are empty the body breaks down their cellular structure and absorbs them. This breaking up of useless cells, connective tissue, blood vessels, etc., may fall behind the process of fat-extraction.
When this happens the body appears to replace some of the extracted fat with water which is retained for this purpose. As water is heavier than fat, the scales may show no loss of weight, even though enough fat has been consumed to make up for the deficit in the 500-calorie diet. When the tissue is finally broken down, the water is eliminated and there is a sudden flood of urine and a marked loss of weight. WhooHoo!
This will explain why you may be strictly dieting with no apparent weight loss. Not to fret, your body is doing as it should and the weight loss is seen once the above explained process takes place.
How Does HCG Work?

HCG is a hormone naturally produced in the body. It has many functions and is used medically to treat a variety of conditions. Yes, it is the pregnancy hormone which allows the body to metabolize fat and use it as energy for both mother and baby. This acts as a “fail-safe” mechanism when energy is needed immediately.
For weight loss, we use only a very small amount of HCG to capitalize on this same mechanism. Using HCG in this way does not mimic pregnancy; in fact, it can be safely used by both men and women.

HCG = Human Chorio Gonadotropin
HCG works directly with the Hypothalamus gland. This gland actually controls body fat, emotions, and helps to develop the reproductive organs during puberty. Each and every person is given their life time supply of HCG at birth. Unfortunately most American food has been overloaded with chemicals which strip the body of its much needed HCG. HCG is found in men and women and is safe for use, as described here.
